Common activities at the Oepli
The ClijCAT (
www.clijcat.cat) is one of the four organisations in the OEPLI (
www.oepli.org), its acronym in Spanish meaning the Spanish Organisation for Children´s and Young Adults´ books. The other three are: Galix (
www.galix.org), Galtzagorri Elkartea (
www.galtzagorri.eus) and Consejo General del Libro (
www.oepli.org/esp/quienintegra.htm﹟uno). The OEPLI collectively organises a series of activities periodically. These include awards for literature and illustration, congresses and international shows on various aspects of children´s and young adults´ books, as well as annual celebratory events.
On 2nd April each year, the anniversary of Hans Christian Andersen´s birth, the whole world pays homage to children´s books.
The ClijCAT coordinates the celebrations and disseminates
information to participating libraries and bookshops in Catalonia, the
Balearic Islands and the region of Valencia.

CATALAN MUSEUM OF ARCHAEOLOGY:
‘From
Hercules to Superman. Gods and heroes of Greco-Romano mythology’.
The itinerant exhibition was opened in March 2004 and can currently
be seen in the Salvador Vilaseca Museum of Archaelogy in Reus until
4th April 2009.
BARCELONA´S LIBRARIES: ‘What do we read?’. A meeting space directed
at parents and educators, where a children´s literature specialist from
ClijCAT presents and recommends selected books based on themes found
in a child´s world (friendship, school, tolerance, fears etc.).
